ALL STARS are selected each year from the KSS programs for their exceptional performance.
Some of these ALL STARS have walked over 100 miles during the school year. Others
have been leaders among their peers and others have overcome special difficulties
to achieve their physical activity goals. They and some of their top teachers are
honored at a special ceremony.
2008 ALL STARS were honored with an afternoon at the Desert Highlands Putting Course on April 30, 2008.
Over 50 kids and teachers from KSS programs joined Lil Jordan, junior golfer and rapper, for lessons on golf etiquette and putting before participating in a putting contest. Each ALL STAR was honored with dinner and gifts including an ALL STAR trophy. In 2007-8 over 2000 KSS Kids ran and walked over 70,000 miles collectively! Stadium May 16 honored 75 top kids and their teachers from Creighton, Excellencia,
Christ Lutheran and Hohokum Schools.
Kids Sports Stars ALL STARS are selected from the over 1300 kids who participated
in their schools programs and were honored with trophies at a special ceremony with
Sparky and the ASU baseball players and coaches. The ALL STARS were treated to dinner
and special recognition during the game. All ALL STARS sat together at the game
and wore the white Kids Sports Stars ALL STAR shirts.
These special children have excelled and were chosen as the best from over 1100
kids in Kids Sports Stars funded programs which taught healthy eating and physical
activity in their school districts. The kids were challenged to walk/run a marathon
over four months or to hike the trails of the Grand Canyon. Some of these ALL STARS
have walked over 100 miles during the school year. Others have been leaders among
their peers and others have overcome special difficulties to achieve their physical
activity goals. Please join us in congratulating all of these ALL STARS and the
teachers who have volunteered their time to lead the efforts in the schools.

were honored at Penske Museum by Lyn St James and given rides in super sports cars!
What a day for the top performers from the Creighton School District Kids Rock Program!
Each winner rode in a high end sports car and was congratulated by Lyn St James,
legendary race car driver. The kids and their teachers were also honored with trophies
and special shirts in front of several hundred people at the Penske Racing Museum.
